Description
This butterfly is a unique decorative piece crafted using the glass fusing technique: layers of coloured glass are stacked and fused together in a kiln at over 800°C. This artisan process creates deep colour gradients, unique translucent hues and living surface textures impossible to replicate by printing or painting. Each piece is therefore truly one of a kind.
The butterfly’s large wings display a warm palette of burnt orange, vivid red and sunshine yellow, punctuated by large peacock-eye motifs in turquoise blue glass. Approximately 50 Preciosa crystals — a world reference for premium quality — are individually hand-set along the wing edges, creating a precious sparkle. The central textured gold metal body completes the piece with elegance. Hung from a gold chain, this butterfly brings light and artistry to a window, a conservatory or any living space in search of a luminous decorative touch.
